The Curative Conservation

The restorator’s work is divided in two complementary periods.

Curative conservation: At this point the restorator will define the different operations needed such as resolving the adhesion problems between the painting and its support, patching on tears, lining a punctured canvas onto a new canvas, checking the stretcher bar…..       

Its intervention will provide a new breath to the piece of art.
